Ladders is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead legal support for AI product development in a healthcare-focused environment. This remote role centers on governing the responsible use of AI, Gen AI, and agentic systems, balancing risk with innovative product capabilities.

You will partner with product, business, and legal teams to shape governance, contract standards, and regulatory interpretation across the organization.

Qualifications

• JD with admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience in law firm and/or in-house roles.
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML, Gen AI, and agentic systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state AI regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and data privacy.
• Proven ability to identify risks and make smart-risk recommendations.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This remote legal role will focus on advising a healthcare organization navigating the evolving use of AI, Gen AI, and agentic systems. The position will partner closely with product, business, and legal stakeholders to support compliant innovation while balancing practical risk management. The successful candidate will help shape governance, guidance, and contract standards that enable responsible use of AI across the organization. The role also requires strong judgment in interpreting regulatory requirements, consumer protection considerations, and data privacy obligations in a highly regulated environment. Location: Remote Compensation: $184,800 - $254,100 annually
