Job Title: Senior Cost Report Analyst
Location: Springfield, Mo. (Remote option available)
Department: Finance
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Job Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for performing high-level analysis and preparing cost reports to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This role involves evaluating costs incurred, resources utilized, and providing detailed reports to aid management in decision-making regarding cost management and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and certify cost reports for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with finance, HR, and operations to gather data and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cost guidelines, reviewing and adjusting costs as needed.
  • Perform periodic cost analysis and report findings to management for decision-making.
  • Manage wrap accruals for FQHC departments, including dental and other services.
  • Research and analyze cost variances, resource utilization, and provide process improvement recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Familiarity with federal cost principles and guidelines.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting or finance experience.
  • At least two years of experience in a cost accounts department or similar role.
  • Experience with healthcare cost report preparation and analysis.

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful background check including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation and required training (Relias).
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. Repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements required for typing and writing. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
