Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management including budget control and cost planning.
• Knowledge of change forms and discussions with project stakeholders.
• Chartered status or on the path to chartership; support available.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in tender/bid processes from documentation through analysis.
• Manage change management: identify, analyze, approve, implement changes affecting project cost.
• Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in final accounts and claims to secure best value for clients.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee spend by producing valuations and cost reports; communicate variations clearly.
• Support nimble project management with thorough cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Mentor and develop team performance.
