Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale campus development near Midland, TX. You will oversee cost estimation, reporting, and control across multiple phases, ensuring value and risk management for the client.

The role requires a degree in a related field and 3–5 years in cost management within construction, with strong communication and stakeholder skills. On-site work with a dynamic team awaits you.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it is advantageous.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-scale, multi-phase programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on procurement and commercial strategies and manage vendor prequalification and bid processes.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for full project lifecycle and review junior staff estimates.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and budgets; maintain risk registers and run regular project meetings.
• Oversee cost control: payment assessments, change orders, and entitlements with project managers.
• Monitor invoicing to align with cash flow and funding for multiple work packages.
• Benchmark against similar projects and apply market data for competitive positioning.
• Manage final accounting, post-contract audits, and lessons learned.
• Develop handover procedures for multi-phase transitions and project close-out.
