Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to drive cost management for complex projects, including data centers. You will oversee deliverables from design through construction, mentor estimators, and manage small teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires strong MEP cost estimating capabilities, client-facing communication, and an ability to produce reports for senior management. On-site presence is expected in a dynamic consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Cost Estimating for construction projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication to liaise with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to mentor estimators and coordinate workstreams.
• Proficient in Excel and standard cost-management tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform workload and team management such as QA/QC, fee proposals, and task management.
• Reconcile invoices and change orders with GC, sub-contractors, and 3rd parties.
• Perform Value Analysis.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
• Support senior management by providing needed reports and responding to inquiries for information.
• Mentor estimating technicians, estimators and train in understanding divisions and construction technology.
• Prepare project plans.
• Provide bid analysis and post contract support.
• Participate in peer review process.
• Undertake Risk and Value management evaluations.
• Understand project controls and stakeholders' requirements.
