Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Chicago to lead cost management for complex projects, including data center work. You will oversee deliverables from design through construction, mentor junior staff, and support management with reporting and client coordination.

Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in cost and commercial management or quantity surveying, with strong Excel and cost-estimating skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 4–5 years in Cost & Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation preferred.
• MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform workload and team management, QA/QC, fee proposals, and task management.
• Reconcile invoices and change orders with GC, sub-contractors, and third parties.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide needed reports and respond to information requests.
• Mentor estimating technicians and train in divisions and construction technology.
• Prepare project plans and provide bid analysis and post-contract support.
• Participate in peer review processes and risk/value management evaluations.
