Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking a Cost Manager to support a major client in South Bend, Indiana. You will join an integrated project team, delivering comprehensive cost management throughout the project lifecycle, including budgets, forecasts, reporting, and cost control.

In this role you will collaborate with estimating, procurement, finance, and project management, review payments and change orders, and contribute to client reporting and value improvement within a global consultancy focused on major

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a construction-related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in cost management, cost controls, quantity surveying, estimating, or project controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and cash flow projections.
• Perform detailed cost reporting and analysis throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Produce accurate cost forecasts and provide timely recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Support project controls functions, including cost control, schedule integration, and progress reporting.
• Collaborate with estimating, procurement, finance, document control, and project management teams.
• Review and validate contractor applications for payment, change orders, and cost proposals.
• Assist with procurement activities, bid evaluations, supplier analysis, and commercial reviews.
• Maintain and enhance cost management tools, databases, benchmarking information, and reporting processes.
• Support monthly client invoicing, purchase order management, and financial reporting requirements.
• Identify potential commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for both internal and client leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Currie & Brown quality standards and client procedures.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
