Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the division’s South Carolina and Michigan business units, collaborating across locations to drive month-end close, cost and inventory accounting, and financial reporting. You will work with site leadership to ensure accurate results, strong controls, and insightful financial analysis for strategic decisions.

The role entails cross-site collaboration, BOM maintenance, cost variances, tax compliance support, and ongoing process

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably manufacturing.
Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
Experience with manufacturing inventory: BOMs, cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, variances.
Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounts receivable processing and RMAs.
Coordinate CER and LER processes.
Own month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Maintain inventory accounting controls (cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations).
Manage BOMs, routings, standard costs, and costing data with operations teams.
Analyze costs to support accurate product costing and profitability reporting.
Support sales and use tax compliance and related filings.
Develop and maintain manufacturing and financial reports across units.
