Job summary

Lochner/Egis is hiring a Senior Cost Estimator to join a growing national practice focused on transportation projects. You will prepare and review cost estimates across design stages and support value engineering analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 10+ years of estimating experience, with familiarity in rail, highway, and aviation costs, and HCSS HeavyBid/Bluebeam/Agtek proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
10+ years of estimating experience.
Diversified experience in transportation projects (rail/highway/aviation).
Transit agency owner costs experience preferred.
Experience with estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid preferred).
Professional Certifications preferred.
Familiarity with FTA guidelines and funding requirements.
Proficiency with estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Agtek).

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates at all design stages (preliminary to release-for-construction).
Review estimates from consultants/contractors.
Prepare estimates for value engineering studies.
Assist in constructability reviews.
Support negotiations for contract changes and potential claims.
