Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a mid to senior-level cost estimator to support a federal program management office in Washington, DC. You will develop life-cycle cost estimates for CBP/DHS programs, perform uncertainty analyses, and present results for government review.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and strong analytical skills in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include 3–10 years of cost estimation, suitable degrees, and familiarity with ACEIT/Crystal Ball.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years plus of cost estimation experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Certifications in ICEAA or AACE are desirable.
• Previous CBP or DHS experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
• ACEIT and Crystal Ball experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) and IGCEs for programs and projects.
• Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses.
• Participate in program meetings and technical interchanges.
• Review and reconcile estimates from other contractors.
• Present results in diverse formats (verbal, reports, briefings).
• Generate estimates per DHS, GAO, and internal standards for validation.
