FMI seeks a Senior Cost Estimator for its Maine facility to oversee and develop fully compliant cost/price estimates for aerospace and defense contracts. You will lead estimation efforts, coach junior staff, and drive process improvement using ProPricer and related tools, aligning with FAR/DFARS/CAS guidelines.

The role emphasizes onsite work in Maine, collaboration across engineering and operations, and strategic direction for estimating strategies and tools within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or similar discipline.
• 3-5 years of cost estimating and/or data analytics experience.
• Excellent analytical skills including good understanding of statistical concepts and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets, multiple workbooks, statistics and advanced formulas.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates and tasks; must communicate well with others.
• Able to interface with all levels of employees, management and industry/customer communities.

Responsabilités

• Actively participating in customer discussions to identify requirements and expectations of a proposal.
• Participates in fact-finding and contract negotiations and assisting in negotiation strategies.
• Provide strategic direction for growth and improvement of analysis and pricing tools and processes for proposals and EAC reviews.
• Provide assistance in cost/pricing government DCMA audits.
• Review and guide maintenance of estimating process flows in CLM systems for metrics and continuous improvement.
