FMI is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to lead compliant cost and pricing estimates for aerospace, defense, and advanced materials programs. The role involves coaching junior staff, driving tool improvements, and coordinating with engineering and business teams onsite.

You will evaluate requirements, prepare estimates, and support audits while aligning with company policies and government regulations. This role emphasizes collaboration and proactive process enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of cost estimating and/or data analytics experience.
• Strong analytical skills and variance analysis.
• Ability to assess pricing implications and support estimates.
• Advanced Excel skills with large datasets.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Understanding of bills of materials and ERP functionality.
• Ability to work independently and communicate well with others.
• Ability to interface with all levels of staff and customers.
• Creative problem solver and results oriented.

Responsabilités

• Actively participating in customer discussions to identify requirements and expectations.
• Assists in negotiations and pricing strategies to meet company objectives.
• Provide strategic direction for growth and improvement of analysis and pricing tools and processes.
• Provide assistance in cost/pricing government DCMA Audits.
• Review and guide maintenance of estimating process flows in CLM systems.
• Participates as a proposal team member and cost volume leader.
• Review drawings and technical documents to prepare estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates using ProPricer and generate budgets for managers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality, scheduling, and resource planning.
