Job description

Senior Cost Estimator

We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimator for on-site support to the Prime Contractor at the DOE Portsmouth site in Waverly, OH. The ideal candidate will have:

1. At least 10 years of experience in cost estimating, with familiarity with software used by DOE and prime contractors, such as COBRA (experience preferred).
2. A BA/BS degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 10-12 years).

Responsibilities include:

1. Implementing and directing estimating functions to ensure timely and accurate responses to client, project management, departmental, and company requirements.
2. Utilizing strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
3. Applying strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Utilizing EVMS applications for project management.
5. Using cost software such as RACER, COBRA, MII, PACES, SAGE, RS MEANS, etc. Knowledge of scheduling in P6 and risk modeling is beneficial.
