Job summary

Dauch seeks a Lead Cost Estimating Analyst at our World Headquarters in Detroit, MI. The role collaborates with Procurement and Finance to craft cost models for automotive programs and communicate cost realities to leadership.

The candidate will analyze design changes, volume effects, and tooling impacts to ensure accurate, justifiable supplier costs. Extensive travel may be required to supplier sites.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 7 years professional experience; or Advanced Degree plus 5 years professional experience; or Industry Experience of plus 10 years in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Procurement Category Management and Finance to drive cost efficiency.
• Create, compile, and present procurement pricing for new sourcing opportunities and design changes.
• Lay out price drivers for components in scenarios like design changes and volume fluctuations.
• Represent Procurement in cross-functional meetings to ensure cost components are accurate.
• Provide data analysis on cost drivers to support financial decision making.
