Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineering Specialist for our Dallas, TX office. The role acts as a trusted advisor on cost management across multiple projects, driving accurate budgets, forecasts, and EAC calculations.

You will develop CBS structures and dashboards, monitor CPI/SPI, and guide project teams through financial planning and risk assessment. The ideal candidate has 8–12+ years of cost engineering or project controls experience, proficiency in Excel, and hands-on experience with EVM

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Economics, Project Controls, or related discipline.
8–12+ years of progressive experience in cost engineering, project controls, or related fields.
Experience supporting large data center, aviation, transportation, infrastructure, or capital programs.

Responsibilities

Lead development, maintenance, and analysis of project budgets, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and EAC calculations.
Monitor expenditures, commitments, accruals, and forecasts to ensure alignment with budgets.
Develop CBS and reporting frameworks and provide cost variance analyses.
Implement and maintain EVM processes and dashboards for project performance.
Evaluate change orders and cost impacts, supporting negotiations with clients and stakeholders.
Present project financial performance updates to leadership and clients.
