Job summary

STV seeks a Senior Cost Engineering Specialist to join our Project Controls team in Dallas, TX. This role leads cost management, forecasting, EVM, and financial performance oversight for complex infrastructure and capital projects.

The ideal candidate brings 8–12+ years of cost engineering experience, proficiency in CBS, and strong communication to mentor junior staff and collaborate with clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Project Controls, or a related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of progressive experience in cost engineering, project controls, construction management, or program controls.
• Experience supporting large transportation, infrastructure, aviation, transit, facilities, energy, or capital improvement programs.
• Advanced experience with cost forecasting.
• Advanced budget management.
• Advanced Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Cost variance analysis, change management, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and advanced financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management, forecasting, and CBS development across projects.
• Monitor expenditures, accruals, and forecasts to budgets.
• Analyze CPI, SPI, and other performance metrics; develop dashboards.
• Evaluate change orders for financial impact and support negotiations.
• Collaborate with project teams for integrated performance assessments.
