Job summary

STV Group seeks a Cost Engineering Specialist for our Projects Control team in Dallas, TX. You will lead cost forecasting, budgeting, and EVM analyses to support decision-making and successful project delivery.

You will develop cost breakdown structures and dashboards, monitor variances, and provide recommendations to mitigate overruns while engaging clients and internal stakeholders. A Bachelor’s in Engineering is required with 8–12+ years in cost engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of progressive cost engineering and project controls experience.
• Experience supporting large data center, aviation, transportation, or infrastructure programs.
• Proven ability to lead cost engineering across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and analysis of project budgets, forecasts, and EAC calculations.
• Monitor expenditures, commitments, accruals, and variances to align with budgets.
• Develop CBS structures and reporting frameworks for project teams.
• Implement and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) processes.
• Evaluate change orders and cost impacts; support negotiations with clients.
• Present financial performance updates to leadership and clients.

STV is seeking a Cost Engineering Specialist to join our Projects Control department at our Dallas, TX office area locations. The Cost Engineering Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to project managers, clients, and project leadership teams by providing accurate and timely cost analysis that supports informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
