Cumming Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Cost Controls Specialist for our Education sector projects. You will lead cost estimation, subcontractor analysis, and contract review to ensure project value and client satisfaction.

The role demands a BS in Construction or related field with 10+ years in cost management or quantity surveying, and professional accreditation (MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE or equivalent).

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 10+ years in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation.
• Prior experience with public sector project types, including public educational facility projects.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.
• Develop and nurture sub-contractor, vendor, and client relationships.
• Review and comment on contracts and participate in contract negotiation.
• Prepare sub-contractor analysis sheets for assigned scope of work.
• Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates and provide expertise in all phases of construction work.
• Perform Continuous Cost Management.
• Manage contract administration at the project level.
• Mentor associate level cost and commercial managers.
• Prepare project plans.
