Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Director of Cost Management in California to lead full life cycle cost management with emphasis on preconstruction. You will drive organic business development and build trust with stakeholders across education, office, civil, and healthcare sectors.

Responsibilities include client consulting, fee proposals, team mentoring, and strategic leadership to grow revenue while ensuring high-quality cost estimates and project controls.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years in Cost & Commercial Management.
• 5+ years leading client expectations and managing a business unit.
• BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• MRICS/AssocRICS/CCP/CEP/CPE or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult executive level clients and showcase services.
• Increase services to existing clientele and develop new revenue.
• Recruit and develop diverse, talented team members.
• Prepare fee proposals and negotiate professional services agreements.
• Provide QA to cost estimates before submittal to clients.
• Oversee quality of team output and coach for excellence.
• Grow revenue across diverse offerings.
• Provide organizational leadership for area of responsibility.
