Cumming Group is seeking an experienced Cost Controls Manager to be based at the Norwood, MA project site. You will manage change orders for a billion-dollar public works project, oversee cost control activities, and coordinate with estimating and scheduling teams to ensure accurate budgets and cash flow.

The role requires a strong background in construction cost management, change order processes, and proficiency with industry software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, cost management, quantity surveying, accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of cost control experience in the construction field.
• 5+ years of experience leading change order management efforts in construction.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others.

Responsabilités

• Track, manage, and analyze change orders alongside budgets, actuals, estimates to complete, and revisions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc change order and cost tracking reports.
• Lead change order management activities as part of a team.
• Monitor contract compliance and interpret documents for merit of changes.
• Prepare change orders, cost analyses, and pre-negotiation plans; resolve claims and change requests.
• Prepare close-out documents; generate reports; interface with GC and agency personnel.
• Lead dispute resolution processes, such as DRB or ADR, as needed.
• Document and prepare for potential claims and establish documentation processes.
• Coordinate with estimating to compare submissions against market rates and productivity.
