Job description

In this role, you will:

1. Participate actively in the tender/bid process, from documentation to analysis and reporting.
2. Manage change processes by identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing cost-related changes.
3. Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
4. Assist in preparing and agreeing on final accounts, including claims, to maximize client value.
5. Create estimates and cost plans for key projects.
6. Oversee project expenditure through valuations and cost reports, communicating variations clearly.
7. Support project management with accurate cost documentation and timely communication.
8. Assist in resolving construction disputes and claims transparently.
9. Foster team performance and growth through mentorship and leadership.

We seek candidates who:

1. Have experience as a cost controller, preferably in a consultancy setting.
2. Have managed costs on large-scale utilities or similar construction projects.
3. Have experience with pre-contract cost management, including budgeting, cost planning, and change documentation, with knowledge of alternative materials.
4. Are chartered or working towards chartership; we provide support.
5. Possess a degree or equivalent in project management or construction.
6. Are excellent communicators, both verbally and in writing.
7. Enjoy dynamic environments, managing priorities and deadlines.
8. Build strong relationships with teams and clients through shared purpose and openness.
