Corning's Solar business seeks a Senior Cost Analyst to support the assistant plant controller, analyze data, and inform business outcomes.

You will close the financial books monthly, support budgeting, capital investments, inventory valuation, and ensure SOX and US GAAP compliance while partnering with plant operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years in manufacturing, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and familiarity with forecasting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent; required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience; required.
• Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, general ledger systems, forecasting tools.

Responsibilities

• Close the financial books monthly, analyze actual results, and support monthly reporting.
• Support assistant plant controller for accounting activities including fixed asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and asset/liability control.
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation, including capital investment analysis with ROI, IRR, and payback metrics.
• Work with plant personnel to identify cost reduction opportunities and maintain cost accounting systems.
• Manage inventory control, capital investment management, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure SOX, US GAAP, and policy compliance; participate in setting plant direction and supporting tax/insurance filings.
