Job summary

Corning is seeking a Cost Analyst to support manufacturing accounting and product costing. You will work with the Supply & Logistics team to understand production processes and their financial impact, performing expense analyses and supporting audits.

The role emphasizes cost control, inventory valuation, and close processes, with collaboration across Finance to optimize product costs and financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, required.
• CPA or CMA, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in closing the financial books at month-end and year-end, ensuring accurate inventory values and accruals.
• Review and update inventory standard costs and analyze production variances.
• Analyze cost variances and costs of production with business partners.
• Ensure proper flow of system transactions to align with production processes.
• Develop cost of production forecast and planning.
• Support production planning and scheduling to minimize costs.
• Maintain internal controls for period-end reporting and monthly reconciliations.
• Review period expenses and provide financial support to departments.
• Assist on product cost projects and participate in cross-training with Finance teams.
