Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a seasoned Capital Projects Controller to oversee cost and schedule data for a portfolio of capital projects in California. The role involves preparing monthly status reports, dashboards, and funding documentation, while monitoring expenditures and forecasting costs to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years in project controls, with strong skills in Primavera P6 and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years in construction project controls, capital program analysis, cost management, or related field.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, change management, and cost control knowledge.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; advanced Excel for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience delivering reports and dashboards for executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost and schedule data for a portfolio of capital projects.
• Prepare monthly project status reports, metrics, and dashboards.
• Support COBCPs, budget packages, planning studies, and funding documentation.
• Monitor expenditures, invoices, change orders, encumbrances, and contingency drawdowns.
• Forecast costs to completion and identify risks and budget impacts.
• Maintain risk/workflow records and documentation for reporting cycles.
• Assist with design-build procurement documentation and project controls.
• Benchmark costs and analyze variances against completed projects.
• Support cash flow forecasting, budget reconciliation, and earned value reporting.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
