E2 Consulting Engineers, LP is seeking a Cost Analyst to provide analytical support on project costs and forecasting in Reno, NV. The role emphasizes budgeting, change management, and collaboration with project managers to secure funding and control costs.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of cost analysis or project controls experience and a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, with experience using Unifier, Maximo, Primavera P6, and SAP.

• Experience with Maximo, Oracle Unifier, Primavera P6 and SAP.

Responsabilités

• Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets.
• Maintain scope change, contingency release, change order, and journal entry logs.
• Assist Project Managers in preparing funding requests and in obtaining funding changes via Unifier change control.
• Analyze and trend cost variances by comparing the cost plan to actual costs to date.
• Forecast costs to completion and maintain related reports; ensure documentation in tracking systems.
• Input and maintain project cost and forecast data for reports and performance assessments.

Overview

The Cost Analyst is able to provide analytical support on any project.

Responsibilities

Budgeting

• Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets.
• Ensure that responses to project budget reflect accurate and current project cost information and stakeholders are in concurrence.

Change Management

• Maintain scope change, contingency release, change order, and journal entry logs.

Collaboration

• Assist Project Managers in preparing funding requests to gain project authorization.
• Assist Project Managers in gaining funding changes to projects through the Unifier change control system.
• Assist in the closeout process of a project with other departments. Work closely with Project Management to determine required deliverables and expected dates to achieve closeout.
• Communicate project risks related to costs to key stakeholders.

Costing / Forecasting

• Analyze and trend cost variances by comparing the current cost plan against the actual cost to date.
• Analyze and validate unauthorized costs to projects and report to Project Managers and Supervision.
• Cost Plan Development and Analysis.
• Forecast costs to complete on projects and maintain reports with accuracy.
• Manage project funding orders and ensure all required documentation is entered and/or correct in tracking documentation systems.
• Use the cost and schedule plan to determine if project objectives are achievable.
• Verify that project cost and schedule milestones were/were not attained and provide input to identify future process or business improvements and work with responsible parties to implement.

Reporting

• Assess and report on project performance using established industry standards.
• Input data into various programs and prepare various cost and forecasting reports.
• Maintain written and electronic project documentation and records for required aspects of the project: Maintain project files in accordance with established guidelines and requirements.
• May provide special reports for supervisor or manager upon request.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant degree in Construction Management, Project Management, etc.
• 3-5 years as a Cost Analyst or relevant Project Controls experience.

Preferred

• Cost experience associated with construction operations experience.
