Job summary

Pivot Bio is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant in Minnetonka, MN. The role partners with Accounting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and FP&A to strengthen cost accounting and inventory processes as the company scales its operations.

Strong analytical and hands-on skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in accounting/finance with cost accounting and inventory experience, proficiency in Excel, and exposure to NetSuite; CMA/CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, with cost accounting, inventory or manufacturing exposure.
• CMA/CPA certification is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Experience with NetSuite is desired.
• Public company experience is preferred.
• Experience in agricultural environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analyses of manufacturing performance and key metrics (costs, variance, WIP, etc.).
• Support month-end close, inventory balance tie-outs and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries for inventory and COGS adjustments.
• Perform cost accounting balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support SOX control activities related to cost accounting and inventory.
• Contribute to process improvements and ERP implementation testing.
• Assist with annual physical inventory counts and inventory adjustments review.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, FP&A and Accounting teams.
