Job summary

ZT Group Int’l. seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to maintain the standard costing system and analyze manufacturing performance. You will monitor BOM accuracy, ensure inventory and COGS follow US GAAP, and partner with Production and Supply Chain to drive cost insights.

Responsibilities include month-end close support, journal entries for inventory and COGS, and overhead rate application. A Bachelor’s in accounting and 2+ years of experience are required, with SAP familiarity desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2+ years of Accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software packages.
• Prior experience with SAP is highly desirable; familiarity with SOX 404 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the standard costing system and ensure product costs are accurate and up to date.
• Analyze manufacturing variances including material price, labor efficiency and overhead spending.
• Prepare and record monthly journal entries for inventory, COGS and manufacturing allocations.
• Review BOMs and routings to ensure accurate labor and overhead absorption.
• Assist in month-end close by reconciling inventory sub-ledgers to GL and investigating discrepancies.
• Calculate and apply overhead rates in line with policy and US GAAP.
• Assess changes in design, materials or methods and their impact on costs and margins.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts at facilities.
