Creative Financial Staffing, LLC represents a growing Minneapolis-area manufacturing company seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support monthly close, inventory accounting, and cost analysis. This role partners with plant and operations leadership to drive performance and cost controls.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, substantial influence on strategic decisions, and a competitive compensation of $110,000 to $125,000 plus a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, with manufacturing exposure.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances, capital expenditures, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances and maintain accurate standard costing data within the ERP system.
• Partner with operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, capital spending, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Develop financial models, operational metrics, and reporting to support business decisions and improve performance.
• Manage inventory analysis, cycle count reviews, reconciliations, and inventory valuation activities.
• Assist with ERP system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
