Houston Precision Fasteners in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee general ledger accounting, inventory valuation, job costing, monthly close processes, and balance sheet reconciliations for our manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of manufacturing accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge including ASC 606/842, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ERP tools. Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is preferred.

Formación

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
2-5 years of experience preferably with a middle market audit background of manufacturing companies.
Experience with managing GL accounting.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 842.
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ERP systems (Epicor M1).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI.

Responsabilidades

Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Maintains the general ledger.
Codes invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifying deposits and inquiries from banks.
Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Manages, maintains, and troubleshoots accounting systems, reporting tools, and integrations.
Diagnoses data integrity issues, system errors, and reporting discrepancies, developing effective solutions.
Coordinates and supports month-end and year-end closing activities by reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement balances.
Investigate and make recommendations regarding discrepancies between accounting records, operational systems, and financial reports.
Coordinates and supports annual financial statement audit requests by preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for external auditors.
