Job summary

All Pro Recruiting (APR) seeks a Senior Cost Accountant & Financial Analyst to own cost and inventory accounting, variance analysis, and budgeting support. You will partner with the VP of Finance and deliver operational reporting for informed decision-making.

Key duties include standard costing, BOM reviews, and monthly management reporting. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve cost visibility and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required.
• Three to five years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Minimum of two years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or monthly management reporting preferred.
• Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it relates to inventory and cost accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with Infor CSI (SyteLine) preferred but not required.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other business intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
• Maintain standard costs for manufactured products and support cost updates.
• Review BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead allocation methodologies.
• Analyze variances: material price/usages, labor rate/efficiency, overhead spending/absorption.
• Monitor inventory valuation and GAAP compliance.
• Assist with reserves for excess/obsolete inventory.
• Reconcile inventory records to GL.
• Prepare month-end inventory and COGS entries.
• Support physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Provide audit documentation for inventory costing.
