Job summary

All Pro Recruiting (APR) is seeking an Assistant Controller for a rapidly growing manufacturing environment. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure accurate product costing, inventory integrity, and timely financial reporting.

The role requires hands-on, analytical leadership in a fast-paced plant setting. You will own standard costing, conduct monthly closes, and provide actionable insights into manufacturing performance and cost reduction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-6 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong manufacturing experience.
• Expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to build partnerships with finance and non-finance leaders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain standard costing systems and methodologies.
• Collaborate with Operations to set and update material, labor, and overhead standards.
• Lead monthly cost accounting close and produce variance reports.
• Analyze variances in purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead, yield, and scrap.
• Monitor inventory valuation and GAAP compliance.
• Support standard cost roll and periodic updates.
• Evaluate profitability and drive margin improvement actions.
• Partner with plant operations, supply chain, purchasing, and engineering leaders.
