Job summary

New Pig Corporation in Tipton, PA is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our enterprise accounting team. You will manage cost accounting across multiple manufacturing locations, driving accurate costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to improve costing processes, support decision-making, and strengthen internal controls; report to CFO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, & GAAP; CPA preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, & problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve cost accounting and inventory processes across multiple locations.
• Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile accounts; support month-end close.
• Develop cost reports and present findings to management with recommendations.
• Analyze costs (materials, labor, overhead, scrap, landed costs) and monitor variances.
• Lead process improvements and collaborate with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Production.
