Job summary

Partnership Employment is assisting a global manufacturing company in recruiting a Cost Accountant to join its Finance team during a major finance transformation. The role focuses on centering and improving cost accounting, POC revenue recognition, and close processes to deliver accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, partner with operations and engineering, and help build a centralized accounting function with strong controls and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Experience with cost accounting and Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• ERP experience required; M3 is highly preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support POC accounting, revenue recognition, and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and general ledger reviews.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Help identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and support the company's finance transformation.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, ERP enhancements, and cross-functional projects.
• Support day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, fixed assets, and reporting.
