Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a senior cost accounting specialist to join our team in Puerto Rico and the USA. The role focuses on cost allocation, analysis, and reporting within a world-class manufacturing context.

Responsibilities include developing unit costs, preparing profitability analyses, and delivering insights across Finance, Manufacturing, and Project Management. Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Power BI is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration with an Accounting focus, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting projects, process improvements, or project management activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with SAP and Power BI for reporting and analysis.
• Ability to develop, interpret, and present financial and operational reports.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the cost accounting system with proper cost allocation.
• Collect, analyze, and report cost data for materials, labor, depreciation and operating expenses.
• Develop and maintain accounting instructions, processes, and documentation.
• Investigate cost structures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.
• Develop unit costs and support pricing analyses for services and manufacturing activities.
• Prepare reports comparing budgeted costs versus actual expenses and investigate variances.
• Provide profitability analyses for existing and projected products and projects.
• Use Excel, SAP, and Power BI to analyze data and communicate financial information.
• Support manufacturing and project teams with cost analysis and recommendations.
• Participate in cost accounting projects from planning through implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting methods.
• Provide recommendations based on detailed financial and operational analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations.
• Communicate financial results and project status to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and coaching to less-experienced team members when required.
• May coordinate or manage assigned projects and deliverables.
• Ensure work complies with company policies and accounting standards.
