Job summary

SPR Packaging in Rockwall, TX seeks an Experienced Cost Accountant to ensure the accuracy of cost and inventory accounting records. The role covers standard costing, job costing, profitability analysis, and related reporting, while supporting journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year accounting degree, 2+ years in manufacturing, ERP experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CMA or CPA is a plus.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product, customer, and operational profitability, including variances.
• Maintain and analyze standard costs, job costs, variances, and cost records.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and close-related activities.
• Support inventory accounting, cycle counts, and book-to-physical reconciliations.
• Participate in budgeting/forecasting and management reporting.
