Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Reconcile and manage trading P&L, inventory accounting, and mark-to-market valuations.
• Ensure accurate accounting for derivatives and hedging activities, analyzing related exposures.
• Perform cost accounting analysis for direct and indirect costs related to commodities and trading operations.
• Collaborate with front-, middle-, and back-office teams to ensure correct trade capture and valuation.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and transparency.
• Manage intercompany transactions and global entity consolidations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Monitor and enhance internal controls, contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Utilize NetSuite ERP for financial reporting, consolidations, and operational accounting.
• Ensure the confidentiality of financial data and safeguard company assets and records.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Deep understanding of:
• Derivatives and hedging accounting
• Trading inventory and mark-to-market accounting
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is required.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled collaborator with a proven ability to work in cross-functional environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
