Morales Group, Accion is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for an on-site role in Indianapolis. You will support month-end close, complete journal entries, and maintain the general ledger while partnering with Finance and operations to turn data into business insights.

The position requires manufacturing or aerospace accounting awareness, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manufacturing or aerospace experience preferred; inventory accounting and cost analysis experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP accounting software experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines and collaborate across departments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end close, post journal entries, and maintain general ledger records.
• Reconcile balance sheet and inventory accounts; investigate discrepancies and maintain schedules.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses; explain significant changes and variances to management.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting; compare actual results with plans and assist with cash flow projections.
• Analyze inventory obsolescence, job costs, and gross margins to support operational decisions.
• Prepare audit documentation and support accurate reporting and established internal controls.
• Assist with AP, payroll uploads; cross-train and provide backup support for AR and other Finance processes.

Position Overview

Join an established, family-owned Indianapolis manufacturer serving global aerospace and power-generation markets. Its operations combine precision machining, metal fabrication, welding, and advanced inspection to produce complex engine components. As Senior Staff Accountant, you will support accurate financial reporting and partner with Finance and operations to turn accounting data into useful business insights.

What You Will Do as a Senior Staff Accountant:

• Support month-end close, prepare and post journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Reconcile balance sheet and inventory accounts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain supporting schedules.
• Prepare financial reports and account analysis; explain significant changes and variances to management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, compare actual results with plans, and assist with cash flow projections.
• Analyze inventory obsolescence, job costs, and gross margins to support operational decisions.
• Prepare audit documentation and support accurate reporting and established internal controls.
• Assist with AP invoice matching and payroll uploads; cross-train and provide backup support for AR and other Finance processes.

What You Bring:
