Job summary

CFS, a precision manufacturing organization, seeks a Senior Cost Accountant in Westminster, MA to own job costing and project accounting for complex programs. You will perform percentage-of-completion revenue recognition under ASC 606, analyze WIP and variances, and partner with operations to monitor budgets and profitability.

You will support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting while identifying opportunities to streamline cost reporting and improve accuracy across manufacturing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Hands-on experience with percentage‑of‑completion accounting and ASC 606.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP, and manufacturing accounting principles.
• Background in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or custom manufacturing preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, or job-shop manufacturing.
• Ability to collaborate with finance and operations teams.
