Job summary

GEO Secured Services is seeking a Transport Officer to securely move detainees and ensure safe, maintained vehicles. You will review inspections, manage permits, and track DOT logs while supporting management with problem-solving during transport operations.

Required are 3+ years in law enforcement or detention, 2+ years driving in a transport role, and completion of approved training in corrections or military fields. CDL preferred; travel and long shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; state requisites for employment.
• 3+ years as a Law Enforcement Officer with Arrest Authority or 3+ years in Prisoner Handling/detention.
• 2+ years of driving in a transportation capacity; leadership experience.
• Completion of an approved training program in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• CDL license preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and DOT drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Transport detainees securely between destinations and ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and develop summaries for Transportation management.
• Maintain required permits and licenses for assigned vehicles.
• Ensure safety equipment is present and report issues to Transportation management.
• Track DOT HOS on Electronic Logging Devices.
• Participate in interviewing and screening of Transport Officers.
• Review paperwork and submit reports to Transportation management as required.
• Meet or exceed PBNDS/FBNDS safety measures during transport.
