Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks a transportation professional to securely move detainees between destinations and ensure vehicles are safe and properly maintained. You will review inspection reports, manage permits, and track DOT HOS using electronic logs, while supporting recruitment and reporting to Transportation management.

Requirements include a high school diploma, state prerequisites, and at least 3 years in law enforcement or detention, plus 2 years driving in transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have state requisites for employment.
• Three years of law enforcement/detention experience preferred.
• Two years of driving experience in a transportation capacity.
• CDL certification or ability to obtain CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Transport detainees securely between destinations.
• Ensure vehicles used for transportation are safe and maintained.
• Review vehicle inspection reports and summarize for management.
• Maintain required permits and licenses for vehicles.
• Track DOT HOS on electronic logging devices.
• Assist in interviewing and screening Transport Officers.
• Ensure all reports are submitted per policies and procedures.
• Meet safety measures per PBNDS/FBNDS while transporting detainees.
