Qualifications

• Three or more years of custody experience in a criminal offender setting.
• One year must be as a Correctional Sergeant or Senior Probation and Parole Assistant with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct lower-level Correctional Officers; monitor performance and work habits.
• Direct major activities such as control center operation or reception/orientation.
• Patrol living quarters and assist with counts and duties to ensure officers are on duty.
• Investigate disturbances and refer serious problems to appropriate staff; promote rehabilitation.
