The annual salary listed for this position includes the additional $1.50 per hour maximum security differential ($3,120 annually) for all full-time positions domiciled in a maximum-security institution.

Three or more years of experience in the custody of adult criminal offenders in a city, county, state, or federal facility, of which one year must have been as a Correctional Sergeant or Senior Probation and Parole Assistant with the Missouri Department of Corrections; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
(Military service may be substituted for up to one year of the custody experience - two years of the listed custody experience, that includes one year as a Correctional Sergeant or Senior Probation and Parole Assistant with the Missouri Department of Corrections is required)

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years! If you are transferring from another State of Missouri agency and are receiving state retention pay, please be advised that the Missouri Department of Corrections administers retention based upon your retention anniversary date. As a result, your retention pay upon transfer may differ from what you were receiving at your previous agency until you reach your applicable retention anniversary date.
