Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to assess and treat offenders and justice-challenged individuals. You will deliver counseling in group and individual formats, develop treatment plans, and coordinate pre-release planning with case managers.

Qualifications include licensure in AZ and at least two years of counseling experience. This full-time role is based at Maricopa Reentry Center in Phoenix with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or related field (preferred).
• Current licenses in Arizona as LIAC/LAAC/LPC/LAC/LCSW/LMSW or Psychologist preferred.
• Two years of counseling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance abuse counseling to inmate/offender population in group and individual settings.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate transitional pre-release planning with case managers.
• Maintain clinical records and participate in clinical staffings.
