Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor to clinically assess and treat offenders and justice-challenged individuals. You will deliver counseling to inmate/offender populations via group and individual sessions, develop treatment plans, and coordinate pre-release planning with case managers.

Qualifications

• Licensure in AZ: LIAC/LAAC/LPC/LAC/LCSW/LMSW or psychologist.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and eligibility for state driving.
• Ability to travel on state business as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual substance abuse counseling to inmate/offender population.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and documentation.
• Participate in clinical staffings and meetings.
• Coordinate transitional pre-release planning with case managers.
