Job summary

Doc PersonalBeratung GmbH seeks a Security Supervisor to coordinate the actions of the security staff and oversee inmate custody at a minimum-security SC facility. You will maintain security for buildings and property, perform routine checks, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities include inmate counts, investigating complaints, and resolving disputes. A strict training path includes completing the SCDC Training Academy basics within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3 years’ experience in correctional/security/military/police work, including 1 year supervision.
• Degree in criminal justice or related field may substitute for supervisory experience year-for-year.
• Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and complete basic supervisory course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and directs security staff actions, overseeing custody and control of inmates in a minimum-security facility.
• Assumes primary responsibility for security of all buildings and public property.
• Makes routine unit checks to ensure staff duties are performed safely and OSHA standards are met.
• Assists with inmate counts, investigates complaints and disputes and arbitrate conflicts.
