Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Adult Correction, Roanoke River Correctional Institution seeks a Correctional Lieutenant III(S) to manage SRG duties and lead the facility’s SRG intelligence activities.

You will supervise the Intelligence Team, coordinate SRG investigations, prepare reports, and ensure safe, orderly movement of offenders. Must meet CJ standards and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302).
• Pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Medical and psychological evaluations required.
• Possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SRG intelligence operations at the facility.
• Lead the Intelligence Team and SRGIO on SRG matters.
• Maintain information sources and report trends and incidents.
• Ensure safe, secure, and orderly movement of offenders.
