Job summary

NC Department of Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Captain III (S) to lead institutions operations at Maury Correctional Institution in Hookerton, NC. You will supervise Lieutenant levels, enforce policies, and prepare inmate classifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of experience as a Correctional Lieutenant, or two years as a Correctional Lieutenant III.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Disseminate and interpret rules, regulations, and orders from prison management.
• Supervise Correctional Lieutenant IIIs; organize training and appointments.
• Prepare inmate behavior and work reports for the classification committee.
