Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking a Paralegal to report to the General Counsel and support a large corporate litigation function. You will assist attorneys across a wide range of matters, manage case files, budgets, and eDiscovery workflows, while coordinating with internal clients and outside counsel.

The role emphasizes legal project management, collaboration across departments, and adherence to budgets and timelines in a Fortune 500 energy company environment.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or equivalent education.
• 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Liberal Arts or Business or foreign equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in legal project management.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Apply specialized legal knowledge to assist with matters overseen by Deputy General Counsel Litigation and Legal Ops.
• Provide paralegal support to attorneys handling litigation and arbitration.
• Assist with file maintenance, case management plans, docket calendaring, and invoice processing.
• Prepare case budgets and assist with managing the Legal Department’s annual budget.
• Assist with eDiscovery processes and Legal Hold Order compliance.
• Prepare management presentations on potential exposure, budgets, and accruals.
