Job summary

KeyBank seeks an experienced VP, Portfolio Management to drive underwriting and portfolio oversight for multimillion-dollar corporate credits. You will gather data, model scenarios, and lead structuring discussions with partners to optimize risk and client value.

As a key member of the deal team, you will monitor performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support cross-selling of bank products while mentoring junior staff in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting, credit, banking and/or financial services experience (required).
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business (required).
• MBA preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
• Experience with syndicated lending and left-lead roles (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial data for high-value clients, including financial statement spreads and risk assessment.
• Model future financial performance and downside scenarios for clients.
• Structure transactions in collaboration with partners and act as a value-add advisor.
• Prepare thorough credit underwriting documents detailing risks and mitigants.
• Monitor covenant compliance and portfolio risk; maintain data integrity in systems.
