Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business (required)
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting, credit, banking and/or financial services experience (required)
• Competent with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively utilize other technology applications (required)
• Demonstrated competence in financial analysis and modeling (required)
• Experience structuring meaningful and appropriate financial covenants for syndicated debt facilities (required)
• Developing experience managing the left lead /administrative agent role in syndicated deals (required)
• Ability to lead discussions with clients during negotiations and act as primary lending representative on deal execution (required)
• Knowledge of business and legal elements of credit agreements (required)

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze all relevant financial data for high-value clients or prospects, including spreading financial statements and collaborating with third party vendors.
• Model future financial performance of clients and prospects, including downside scenarios.
• Demonstrate leadership in structuring transactions in collaboration with partners and relationship managers.
• Perform enhanced leveraged cash flow due diligence where appropriate.
• Prepare thorough credit underwriting documents identifying risks, trends and issues.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, OFAC checks, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage approval processes for lending commitments and amendments, with monitoring and reporting.
• Review legal documentation to reflect approvals and maintain data integrity in systems.
• Monitor portfolio performance and covenant compliance to minimize potential losses.
• Identify potential problem accounts and coordinate with Asset Recovery as needed.
• Establish and maintain direct client relationships and participate in management presentations.
• Contribute to white papers on assigned industry segments.
• Provide guidance to Analysts and Associates.
• Gather data in response to ad hoc requests.
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures.
